In the middle of Labanoras regional park, surrounded by forests and lakes, a small experimental family farm has been founded.
In Lithuania it is pretty common to be a farmer, or to have your parents as farmers, or grandparents, or grand-grandparents at the very least. Well, it is not the case for us. And it leaves us more like explorers in the field of farming, than farmers. But combining the love for nature, these precious moments listening to the birds in the dusk, willingness to have an active daily routine and, of course, wide as never open knowledge database as well as technologies, has led us to establishing our pretty 3-hectare farm.
We love herbs. Our favorite is thyme – both for food and its medical components. Thyme is our number one herb in the kitchen as well as the number one anti-coughing cure. Our newly re-discovered sage is climbing towards our farm’s Olympus. OMG that wonderful aroma! Sage makes the best hydrolates and essential oils – it is simply pure pleasure!
We love oaks. For their strength and for their spirit. We like sauna and oak presence in it. Therefore we have our small several hundred’s oak park. We might also make acorn coffee in the future, if the experiment is successful, of course.
We are nuts. So nuts we grow – hazelnuts, walnuts, even pine nuts! It will take decades for those pines to look like normal trees, not to mention the nuts. But for the sake of experiment, time does not matter at all.
We love sweets. Therefor we grow watermelons (yes, in Lithuania) and make watermelon honey out of them. Totally natural, no add-ons or -ins, just pure concentrated watermelon juice that turns into honey. Sweet and lovely.
We adore beauty. Pumpkin seed oil. Cherry seed oil. Wild rose seed oil. These and many more are on the list!
We do not sell anything yet – it is much more fun to experiment with plants than with the bureaucrats. But if you are interested for the future – don’t hesitate to contact us.
